After the latest part of Belonging, I should probably put this out there:

Yes, I like to do mean, mean things to pretty, pretty boys.

Sometimes I can get really mean.

But I always, always fix things. Or, you know...kinda fix things :P

I'm in this for the fun and the fantasy, and for me, that requires A Happy Ending.

Of course, the best happy endings come after some hardcore angst...

Man, I just needed to clear that up! I never expected anything like the reaction Belonging has gotten, and I'm overwhelmed! And also pretty worried people expect me to end things on a bad note for them.

I need my happy endings!

You are seriously the best hardcore angst dealer in the damn fandom. It's so dark and that makes the fix-its that much more awesome. There is a reason several us use an icon just for you. I am such a fan girl, it's not even funny. I normally have a lot of trouble with fics that have non-con in it, but the way you write it takes the sting out (if that makes any sense). It's just a stark, bleak "oh by the way, this happened" which is easier for me to handle.

And I totally forgot to ask on the fic post, will we be seeing a Cougar POV fic?

Seriously, as I was saying to [livejournal.com profile] katrinbisiani, I am just completely overwhelmed by your reaction. You have no idea how much pleasure it brings me to know that you are enjoying something which I get so much fun out of doing. I don't really know what else to say really. Just thank you. Really.

As for non-con - I really don't like it. I don't like the way it gets used so often just for the sake of it. I don't have the stomach to write anything explicit, and I much prefer to just say 'yeah, this happened', as you say. I think rape is such an emotionally volatile subject, and we all have our own personal feelings in regards to it. From a purely dramatic standpoint, we write our own Hell, if you will. It's enough to just know it happened. We all know the ramifications. Each to their own, obviously, and a credit to those who can handle the matter tastefully. I have just taken the easy way out of it.

And yes, we shall go back to a Cougar POV in the remaining parts. I never thought I'd day this, but I think it's actually safer!

Again, thank you so, so much for reading, your feedback, and your enthusiasm. It is amazing.

I don't think it's the easy way out at all. I think you handle a very volatile subject with tact and understanding, while still using it as a believable literary device. I personally don't write it at all in any form, because I'm not in a place yet where I can. So I tend to really show appreciation when it's done in a way that doesn't make me run away screaming.

Plus part of the reason I enjoy your writing so much is because it's so succinct and streamlined. I'm very, very verbose. Almost to a fault. Reading something that is the exact opposite of my own style is really fun.

It really means a huge amount to know that it does work this way. I hate the idea that it can be used purely for entertainment, so while I think disregarding it entirely, especially in the context of Belonging is going too far the other way, I tend to just think 'could I write this? Could I read it?'. Nine times out of ten, the answer is 'no', which is how it has ended up being so succinct.

I do love wordsmiths though! I think as you say, we enjoy things which are different!

Then you're gonna love me. I've got two fics going right now. One just hit 11k words, and one is hovering at 6k >.<

*hugs you*

Now I really feel MUCH better towards your fic (chapter 2 of Of Scars, instead, has knifed me up thanks to the Jensen plus Rachmaninov combo)
